The lotus has many symbolic associations across Asia. Its flower represents purity of body, word and mind because it often grows in muddy pools, emerging pristine and perfect from the murk. Its pod represents abundance because it contains so many seeds, prized for their nutritional value. In Buddhism, it represents the concept of 'duality' as it is the only plant that flowers and seeds at the same time.

The diameter of the large button is approximately 12mm and the small button is approximately 11mm. They are cast in solid sterling silver and the two buttons have been linked together to create a unique pair of cufflinks. The length of the cufflinks is approximately 20mm.
